Meryl Dodd

Meryl is a consultant with 12 years experience in delivery, consultancy, event and project management, who is renowned for her interactive and engaging delivery style.

Prior to running her own business, Meryl was a Senior Lecturer at Newcastle Business School working mainly in the field of management and business development with local small and medium businesses.
Meryl also spent two years as a Community Development Worker for the University of Sunderland, working on the innovative UfI programme and promoting learning in a number of innovative ways including delivering seminars in football stadia and supermarkets, and six years as a Management and Training Consultant working with large blue chip companies and public sector organisations to develop their training and development programmes and strategies and managing large scale change projects.

Meryl has worked with a wide range of businesses to improve their marketing and networking from a people perspective by teaching businesses how to network, how to promote themselves and how to make the most of marketing opportunities.

She is also renowned for helping small businesses to embed an entrepreneurial culture that supports innovation and ideas to improve service delivery.

Meryl has a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Durham and is currently studying for a higher degree in finance and the entrepreneurial management of small enterprises.

She was nominated for and awarded the Women in Business Networker of the Year 2003 award for her support work in the region, and she recently stepped down from her three year term as Chair of Service Network, a cluster and membership organisation for professional service providers in the North East of England.
